    • Enforce the client's documentation management processes for both CAD and facilities management databases

    An ideal candidate has:

     

    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design

This is a temp to perm opportunity for an experienced Senior Electrical Designer that has 10 to 12 years of consulting engineering experience, designing power, lighting, and special systems for new and renovated healthcare, research lab, and other critical building types.  Knowledge of all aspects of the NEC to design complete online diagrams, power distribution throughout a facility, and load calculations for the entire project, and experience in requirements necessary to conform to IECC for lighting controls is required. 

     

    An ideal candidate has:

     

    • AutoCad and Revit experience to use for design and drafting
    • PE license and degree not required but preferable to establish career growth path and expand job expectations.

    Our Washington, DC office is currently looking for a Director of Engineering who is an idea-driven visionary with a high level of design, client, and staff leadership skills.  This is an ownership-level position.   The Washington, DC office has substantial practices in cultural, learning, workplace/interiors, urban design/planning/landscape architecture and healthcare, with projects located throughout the United States.


    Here's what you would be responsible for:

     

    • Providing leadership to approximately 30 mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and electrical engineers
    • Contributing entrepreneurial and strategic thinking as a part of the management team that leads the Washington, DC office
    • Marketing engineering services both internally and externally
    • Providing innovation and leadership in sustainable design
    • Providing technical expertise and experience in one or more subject areas related to one of our practices

     

    The required qualifications are as follows:

     

    • 15+ years experience in facility-oriented MEP engineering design and operations with at least five of those years in leading an MEP group or division
    • Business skills in federal contracting, client management, business development, project cost accounting, resource planning, forecasting, budgeting, staff supervision and contract reviews
    • Licensed Professional Engineer in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, DC; and NCEES registered with the ability to obtain additional state licenses, if needed, via comity
    • LEED accredited professional
    • Bachelors or Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering
    • Leadership skills in mentoring young engineers, motivating staff, and working well in a team based environment
    • Knowledge and relationships within the local AEC market and federal government clients in the Greater Washington DC area
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
    • Skills in delegation and time management
    • Must be able to obtain a DSS (Defense Security Service) clearance

    Here's what you would be responsible for:

     

    • Serving as a team member and LAN level administrator
    • Maintaining the daily operations of multiple local and remote Windows servers
    • Administering Windows 2003/2008 Application, File, Print, and other physical and virtual servers operation in a Windows Server 2008 Active Directory infrastructure
    • Utilizing existing Microsoft and third party tools to maintain, monitor and tune client systems for optimal performance
    • Working with the rest of the IT team to assist employees on the floor with any technology-related issues

     

    The required qualifications are as follows:
